Who has the moral or legal authority to liberate a nation — and kill its president, prime minister or supreme leader with impunity?

Oman says Iran was very close to a nuclear agreement with the United States. Then, instead of ink on paper, missiles arrived. A surprise strike reportedly killed 148 children at a girls’ primary school. Then, the nation's Ayatollah, the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei was also killed in the joint US-Israel military attack.

US has argued on multiple occasions that humans rights of protestors in Iran were being violated- and they were. More than 5,000 died in the 2025-2026 protests against the Iranian government, separately, women for multiple decades have been suffering under strict religious rules and diktats.

However, while USA was 'liberating' the women of Iran (and killing 100+ little children in the process), it also introduced a law to award death penalty for women who get abortions. Trump's ICE has killed at least nine for protesting against the government in the streets of the 'land of the free'. Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv to demand Benjamin Netanyahu's ouster, called his government most corrupt.

Would any other country, following the US-Israel rhetoric, then have the right to 'liberate' the suffering people in the United States or Israel? What gives Trump or any country to assassinate a country's president or Supreme Leader in a non-war situation?

Reporter: Anwiti Singh
Camera: Suresh K Pandey
Editor: Sudhanshu

#Iran #Israel #USA
